ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In ancient times, the deer dance was a pre-Hispanic hunting dance. A ceremony dedicated to the god of the white-tailed deer, so that he gives his life. The Yaqui tribe considered the deer a deity because they owed their lives to it. Today, the folk dance of the deer reminds us of the magnificent beauty of the deer, and the innocent way it falls in a fight with man. This painting is a reconciliation of the man with the deer. The human is no longer a hunter, he no longer chases deer, part of nature is recognized and guided; runs together with it towards the same destination. The man is just another deer, and inspiring his way with the spirit of the great deer, he leads the stampede. The painting was enhanced with the drip paint technique, with splashes, splashes and drips of color. Own style of post-impressionism. It also has 23.75 karat gold leaf motifs on the legs and antlers. Gold is an ancient symbol of divinity.
