Crossing the Country Print

Inspired by Australian artists who've travelled to Broken Hill including my 4 x great grandfather, Luke Sciberras, Idris Murphy, and Fred Williams. The work is a emotional response to the heat, the colour in the dirt, the wide open space, and the history, the sensation of being somewhere kind of magical. The brush marks are the storytelling device that makes my work unique, the brush moves, twirls, dabs, there is an experience between the artist, the board and the memory and meditation. It is the pursuit of Joy, Wonder, Freedom that is created to then put into the world.
