ABOUT THE ART: In Philippine mythology, SARAGNAYAN, son of primordial chaos, commands the darkness & the forces of evil. He lives in the Land of Eternal Darkness with his fairy wife, whom he is fiercely loyal to. To his wife, he is kind & gentle. He appears as a handsome man with warrior tattoos. To the rest of the world, however, he transforms into a terrifying monster: he sheds his hair; his eyes glow red & boar tusks protrude from his mouth. His tattoos expand to cover his entire body, making his skin ink black! This drawing was created for & published in the rule book for "Demigods", a tabletop role-playing game. You may read more about the game at ARTIST'S NOTES: I use natural charcoal-derived ink & quality watercolors on standard industry art board. The illustration has a coat of fixative so lines & colors will remain sharp & vibrant over the years.

I'm a professional artist/illustrator. I prefer drawing with inks & watercolors; My illustrations feature fantasy & pop culture subjects rendered in film noir techniques & traditional mediums. They're are a merger of contemporary & classic. My career jumpstarted in 2014 after having been selected as 1 of 4 artists in Top Cow Productions' global Talent Hunt. I went on to illustrate for various comic books/strips & have since ventured into the gaming sphere. I continue to work actively as an illustrator for various projects.
