ABOUT THE ARTWORK

DEPICTIONS OF A BUNYIP DIPTYCH. (Mythical Australian Folklore) By William BIL Anderson JR 1st panel painted 2012 revised. 2nd panel painted 2020. AUTHENTICITY: Signed "BIL" on reverse for authenticity with William Anderson Signature and year created, Name and title of work. I always find it very sub concise to try to describe my work. This may be because I had a brain bleed from a acquired brain injury... But I really don' know how to describe my work in a concise way? In 2012 I attempted to paint the Bunyip of Berkeley's creek from reading the book when I younger... but even the stencil was too abstract for any sort of representation... So I put it aside... 8 years later I found the first panel again. I wanted to complete a diptych so I cast the second panel of the diptych in transparent blue resin... Revisiting the Bunyip dysfunctional attributes... On the second panel of the Diptych... I' am depicted a hybrid Bunyip Yowie anime surrealist character of uncertainty..
