About The Artwork

This painting is one of the works from the series: "Khorumi" In my drawings, I convey the emotions within me at the moment of drawing. In every painting, I put in love, deep emotion, and all of my passions. This is one of my many fully unique handmade works of art. Khorumi is a Georgian martial dance. In the modern version of Khorum, thirty to forty dancers can take part. The dance begins with several dancers entering the stage, they embody warriors who scout the war zone with great caution before the battle. After that, the other members of the army are called to the stage. Khorum is a symbol embodied in dance, the courage, and the greatness of Georgian warriors. I have put in the paintings of this series the hope that peaceful ways can be used to resolve relations between states without war, and one such way is undoubtedly an art. In this particular picture, the birch trees are a symbol of Russia and the dancers are a symbol of Georgia.

I had developed my creative fantasy since childhood. Seeing something completely different in ordinary things, imagining, dreaming, was and still is an integral part of my daily life. I often walk in my imaginary world. (Especially in difficult times). Everything is possible there and often things come to mind that I did not even think about at first glance. Higher education, work, family, children ... Life was going its own way and my touch with painting was limited to going to exhibitions and simply appreciating painting, sculpture, architecture. During the pandemic, I suddenly began to put my dreams, thoughts, fantasies, first on a piece of paper and then on a canvas, for myself. Painting is an integral part of my daily life nowadays and I feel best when I transfer my inner world to the canvas.
