Mr Chuan-Hong Li (1961), born in Jiangsu, is a prestigious artist of Chinese calligraphy and painting. He has been studying and practicing traditional Chinese art since his young age, and his artistic career has been over 30 years. Influenced and instructed by multiple masters with different artistic styles, he creates his own distinguishing characteristics, which are highly recognized by the experts and collectors. Now he is the members of many professional art organizations, such as China Calligrapher and Painter Association, China Calligraphy and Painting Artist Society, etc. Now he lives in Qufu, hometown of Confucius, and serves as the director of Zhong-Ning art studio. He is talented at various Chinese calligraphy cursive styles. His regular script (Kaishu) is deeply influenced by Tang Dynasty style, especially by Yan Zhen-Qing and Ou Yang Xun (Tang Dynasty), and the clerical script (Lishu) is under the frame of Han Dynasty. His exceptional achievements in cursive and semi-cursive scripts (Xingshu/Caoshu) are originated from Wang Xi-Zhi and Wang Xian-Zhi (Jin Dynasty), Sun Guo-Ting (Tang Dynasty), Mi Fu (Song Dynasty), Zhao Meng-Fu (Yuan Dynasty) and Qi Gong (Contemporary). The main style of his calligraphy can be featured as refreshing elegant, and brilliant. He also excels in traditional Chinese painting, especially the theme of plum blossom, lotus and peony. Influenced by Xu Wei (Ming Dynasty), Wu Chang-Shuo (Qing Dynasty) and Wang Cheng-Xi (Contemporary), his paintings display profound, powerful, active and enthusiastic images, which are highly acknowledged and collected by numerous art-collecting organizations and individuals.
