Dancing on the battlefield Print

This is one of a series of paintings that were painted in multiple layers, in one seating all together. I put the music on, and laid out a number of papers before me. I applied layers of paints on multiple papers in one go, I stepped back, paused, observed, and went back to them spontaneously according to what I felt the particular canvases needed. Different colours, textures, mediums and marks were chosen to best capture the music and emotion in the moment. "Dancing on the battlefield" is about the courage and grace we can still have even when we're fighting battles for our heart and soul. The dance becomes a weapon of victory and declaration of freedom. It is an unashamed display of confidence and boldness.
