Alan Parsons lives in North Northamptonshire, England. Inspired by artists that explore the perceived boundary or edge between figuration and abstraction, from Rembrandt to Richter. Works in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography and digital arts. Working practice crosses observed figurative subject matter and expressive, abstracted representations. Interested in allowing the potential in media to express subject and idea. Artist, Educator, Writer. Studied at Norwich School of Art, taught by Ed Middleditch, Nigel Henderson and Derrick Greaves. Currently working solo, and as part of a dialogical drawing partnership exchange+draw. Work in various private collections; exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Cyprus and England.
