Sarah Maxell Crosby is a painter and mixed media artist from Maine, now based in Vermont. Raised by a prize-winning art educator and talented artist, her childhood was filled with color. After making her first art sale at 12, she used the proceeds to pay for oil painting classes at her local university. She studied art history at Dartmouth College (BA) and the Courtauld Institute of Art at the University of London (MA). Today, she finds inspiration in her garden and the beautiful verdant landscapes of Vermont, as well as the faces of the people around her. She works primarily in acrylic on canvas to create landscapes, portraits, and abstract explorations of color and texture. Sarah is an artist member of the AVA Gallery and exhibits at their Bank Street Gallery.
