Art connects us to each other. There is an understated beauty that belongs to the solitude of simple objects. I see flowers as celebrations of life through shape and color, and I find optimism in my breakfast table. In my still life paintings, the objects become personified through vibrant color. Over the years, I have painted my life - my family and strangers and the lovely places I have visited. My ultimate inspiration comes from time spent in nature, specifically my garden. Painting flowers from my own garden plays an important part in my creative process. It's inspiring to watch them grow.
