ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This oil painting is inspired by the reflective time of sunset, when the day is done and the night is about to fall. It is a time to think of the sky at its most beautiful. It is a painting with literal depth, the viewers eyes are cast first on the vibrantly beautiful orange sunset cloud but there is a depth which invites the view to see behind the bright cloud into the dark, where some of our thoughts often go. Dark thoughts which can include the way we are heating our beautiful planet up to no return. This is a soulful painting which I hope will make the viewer think
