Yvonne Hoppe is amazed by ramifications: she sees lines, interwoven elements, scattered objects, and intertwined forms in branches and sticks that are found. She favors high-contrast compositions that oscillate between conception and chance. Hoppe-Engbring transforms very familiar objects like branches into abstract forms that primarily emphasize linearity and, through seriation, draw attention to peculiarities in comparative vision. She has been painting for as long as she can remember...but for almost 35 years, Yvonne Hoppe has worked as an illustrator for various international publishers. Since 2020, she has shifted her focus more to freelance artistic work, painting in oil and acrylic in a wide variety of formats, drawing, experimenting with digital image processing, photography, and collage. There are no limits to artistic diversity; she finds the commitment to a specific style restrictive. Yvonne Hoppe lives and works in Steinfurt (near Münster).
