My work is rooted in abstraction as a way to communicate experiences and emotions that resist language. I approach painting intuitively, allowing each piece to unfold through layers, movement, and subtle shifts rather than predetermined outcomes. Travel and the ocean are central sources of inspiration. Time spent underwater has deeply influenced how I think about space, depth, and light: how forms dissolve, reappear, and exist in a constant state of motion and quiet tension. I work with layered applications of paint to build a sense of depth and atmosphere, embracing unpredictability as part of the process. Ocean-inspired palettes - blues, deep shadows, muted corals, and moments of luminosity - often emerge naturally, echoing the contrasts I’m drawn to: stillness and movement, clarity and mystery. These dualities mirror both the ocean and the act of painting itself. Each work becomes a visual record of a moment, a place, or a feeling, guided by intuition and shaped through exploration.
