Desire Print

There is a narrative element to my work. I grew up in a house with shelves full of books. Myths, Fairytales and Poetry populate my vision. I was out in the Joshua Tree California watching quail, a coyote and an occasional jackrabbits drinking from a shared water barrel. There was something Edenic about this humble truce. Old book illustrations from the Fox and the Grapes, something about the nature of desire also come to mind. The Title is a play on where the accent is put on the word or metaphor. Peach/ Pêche is a play on the French Péché meaning sin vs Pêche Peach. Some scholars think the fruit of the tree of knowledge was not an apple but a peach.
