I called my my website Amehome. “Ame” - “rain” in Japanese- is to me symbolic of the blessing of life and rebirth. There is something special in Japanese aesthetics - a sense of peace, balance and ability to achieve more with less. There is also something special in Islamic tradition, as one scholar said: “it is like clear transparent pure water, reflecting and showing what it is flowing upon”. I am a mixture of european blood, islamic faith and love for simplicity of Japanese aesthetics. I aim to reflect these ideas in my artwork, that will hopefully make your home , inward and outward, an even more beautiful place to be in!
