I was born in Jakarta on January 1951 and I am a native of Medan, Sumatra. I have shown my talent in painting since age 8 and have won prizes on several painting competitions.
I was ultimately inspired by Balinese female beauty and evolve a sumptuous, romantic style dominated by proud women dressed in traditional clothing as well as nudes. I have also used my mastery of the difficult technique of applying burnished gold leaf to enhance the backgrounds and jewelry of his subject, resulting in metallic effects shimmers like those seen in the
decorative arts of the Byzantine era, whereas the composition and flatness, remind one of the renaissance frescoes.
