ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I began this painting drawing with charcoal lines and scribbles, then took a brush with clear oil ,smearing the charcoal in arch like shapes. At some point I turned the canvas horizontal and there appeared the shape of the angel in the foreground, with various figures beginning to appear in the "tunnel". I used transparent colors to bring in the shapes of the painting and brought in all details of all figures. The end result begs the question , how did this painting end up as it appears when considering where it began from ?
