ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Created en plein air, enjoying the relaxed exhilaration of being outside on a beautiful day, fully alive. Influenced by Impressionists, Corot and 20th Century American painters like Maynard Dixon and Edward Hopper, this painting creates a sense of place that is specific and yet familiar to many. Painted using archival methods and materials, this painting will last for generations, using museum quality oil pigments on linen mounted on a cradled panel, covered in rabbit glue and marble dust gesso. The clean, simple and modern frame is custom made by a furniture craftsman, hand gilt in gold.
