Divine Masculine Energy Print

'Divine Masculine Energy' was created during a period of spiritual growth and self reflection. I was inspired by religious deities and intrigued by the idea of yin and yang and the balance of self. I created two pieces divine feminine and masculine energy to celebrate that balance necessary; in the masculine we celebrate: strength, assertion and focus. Characteristics that are lorded in society yet somehow still misunderstood. The Halo is representative of how religious figures in Roman Catholic art were deemed holy and of God. Indicate that the being depicted is not just human but in fact more than. I use halo in my art because I was raised in a very religious Catholic household and these images always struck a chord. The colour palette used was another play on the idea of balance - I used warm and cool tones.
