If a tree does not bend in the wind, it will not survive the storm. Such is life. Truly, life is a series of events or circumstances that are often random and uncontrollable, moments that can be life-altering or just pleasant memories. In fact, as soon as an event occurs it becomes a memory. Life can be defined by memories and how they are processed. This series draws inspiration from fading memories and personal narratives specifically, with the impactful events in the life of my mother. Looking at an old photograph evokes memories. However, what is remembered is based on perception. While a photo depicts a moment in time, it does not tell the whole story. Experiences captured in photographs and the memories they produce yield both despair and joy.
