ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The use of joint compound mixed in with acrylic paint helped me achieve a textured and structured artwork. I usually tend to lean towards more warm colored tones for artwork but when creating this work I put down the pinks and oranges and decided to go with colors I shy away from, mainly blue. Blue is my favorite color but I tend to pick any color over using blues when it comes to my art and wardrobe choices, so maybe it isn't? I created downward strokes and added some silver metallic highlights with acrylic paint to represent pouring rain.
