ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The diptych was created by combining two canvases - Dressing (Beekeeper) 30x20 cm and Meadow with bees 30x40 cm. It is connected by raw wood slats, which are also a frame for the painting. It is part of a painting series about bees and apiaries. Inspired by the figure of my father - passionate beekeeper. The painting has a very thick texture.

I move between different styles, combining abstraction with figuration. Concerning themes and my color palette, I have no restrictions, with one exception: I avoid dramatism in depicted situations. Only the scale between extensive backgrounds and minor human figures or vehicles is constant. I am inspired by Dutch painting, especially by Peter Breughel. I like to think of my paintings as a kind of poetry without words.
