Xu Bin's original oil painting "Dunhuang - Dream of Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake III" is a stunning representation of the artist's memories and reflections on his past, as well as his positive attitude towards constantly moving forward in the face of change and challenge. The painting depicts a scene of breathtaking natural beauty, with the distant sand dunes of the famous Mingsha Mountain looming in the background. The wind that blows across the dunes creates a distinctive buzzing sound, lending a sense of movement and dynamism to the painting. In the foreground of the painting, there is a mirage-like river, leading the viewer into the long river of history. Fragments of history are represented by paper boats, each carrying identical figures standing on them. These figures represent the artist himself in different periods, as he reflects on his past experiences and mental journeys. The small boats fall from the mirage into the real Crescent Lake. The surface of Crescent Lake ripple gently in the breeze. The ancient buildings in the oasis beside the lake stand in quiet contemplation, a testament to the enduring nature of human civilization. One particular figure stands out among the rest, a young girl who joyfully dances on her boat. She represents the embodiment of the painter's own positive attitude towards life and his constant willingness to move forward, no matter what obstacles may stand in his way. Overall, Xu Bin's "Dunhuang - Dream of Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake III" is a deeply personal and introspective work of art. It invites the viewer to reflect on their own experiences and mental journeys, while also inspiring them to embrace a positive attitude towards life and a willingness to face the future with open arms.

China
I was born in 1969 in Guang'an, Sichuan, China. I graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University and became a freelance artist afterwards. My early works were mainly oil paintings, influenced by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Monet and Seurat. Through continuous learning and creative practice, I gradually integrated the artistic essence of Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Chagall and other artists, and combined with my own Chinese cultural background to develop my own mature artistic style.
