The original oil painting "Dunhuang - Dream of Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake IV" captures the stunning beauty of Dunhuang, a city that is rich in history and culture. The painting features the rippling Crescent Lake and the pavilions beside the lake, which are surrounded by the golden Mingsha Mountains. The painting presents these elements like a mirage, giving the impression that they are a fleeting dream. The painting tells a story of a long journey to Dunhuang, where the artist Xu Bin encountered the breathtaking beauty of the Crescent Lake and the Mingsha Mountains. The artist opened their arms to embrace the natural beauty and history that Dunhuang represents. As he embraced the Mingsha Mountain and the Crescent Lake, he also embraced history, which they held like a book in his arm. As the artist turned the pages of this book, he reminded of his past and his mental journey, and the pages of history fell down around him. The Crescent Lake is a symbol of the artist's past, and in looking back, he identified his most precious treasures. The painting is a representation of the artist's pursuit of history, not just the history of Dunhuang, but also his own personal history. Through the painting, we are sure that the artist have identified the direction of their future. The painting is a masterpiece of color, texture, and form. The golden hues of the Mingsha Mountains are rich and warm, while the rippling waters of the Crescent Lake are cool and serene. The pavilions beside the lake add a touch of human presence, while the vast sky above adds a sense of infinite possibility.

China
I was born in 1969 in Guang'an, Sichuan, China. I graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University and became a freelance artist afterwards. My early works were mainly oil paintings, influenced by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Monet and Seurat. Through continuous learning and creative practice, I gradually integrated the artistic essence of Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Chagall and other artists, and combined with my own Chinese cultural background to develop my own mature artistic style.
