This was an attempt to recreate an image I saw in a dream. I believe that for everyone, a total eclipse is already an extremely remarkable, mystical event, full of symbolism. I was very pleased to recreate the magic of this dream.

If I had to sum up my artistic pursuit in one word, that word would be “BEAUTY.” It is a difficult concept to express verbally, perhaps relative. So at this point we set out in search of what beauty is, since I intend to express it in the form of a painting. And so, we find beauty everywhere: in people, moments, faces, objects, scenes, in nature, in the most varied forms of life. We also find beauty in moments that are not so obvious, in bad and low feelings, in depression, in pain, in war, in the struggle of everyday life, we find beauty in a sad face or a face worn down by time. Beauty is how we can transcend pain and preserve a unique moment, which will never be repeated. Beauty is in the whole and in the smallest details. Beauty is sustenance for the soul and gives meaning to life. I respect and honor the tradition of great men and women who observed, created and forged methods, techniques, materials, pigments, all with great dedication and difficulty. So ultimately, I see artistic endeavor as a form of communication, a way of preserving moments, a way of remembering, a way of overcoming entropy and expressing to the world things that should not be forgotten or buried by time. This applies both to the object represented in the work and to the personal and particular experience of the one who appreciates it.
