El Constructivismo y la Logica Print

Pictorial structures remind me of the logic of cities, the spatial conception of "urbis". Structures, in painting and drawing, make me think of Brasília, because Brasília, the place I inhabit, is the very manifestation of the structure in its architectural and urban design. A concept that, created on the drawing board, invaded the construction site in the middle of the cerrado and spread through urban time and space. When thinking about this, it is inevitable to go back in time and contemplate the history of Art since the Russian Constructivists, pass by the Bauhaus, visit, albeit briefly, Le Corbusier's France, and disembark in the Brazilian movements of Concretism and Neo-Concretism, because, from one way or another, they all generated a design logic that made Brasilia possible. For the artist who visits such traditions, the most complex movement he must seek is to find the path between reference and originality, but this is everyday work…
