10 women are being killed in Mexico every single day just because they are women. In March 8th of 2020 a march with around 35,000 souls was about to happen in my city. And the next day we stayed home and silent as a protest. A woman I love, a woman who is privileged and raised in a sexist system said to me "you girls shouldn't sabotage our country that way. It's stupid. You should just wear a ribbon or something like that instead". And I say it again: 10 women are being killed in Mexico every day. No ribbon is enough. Marble dust weights the red zone of the canvas. Violet surrounds the image, and green and yellow hope cover its core.
