In the painting "El placer del juego" we see three girls in an abstract environment but with references to a natural space. They could all be the same person or at least a couple of them. The two identical girls play, run and spin. Another, in the center, with her eyes closed, jumps, because of the clothes it could be the same girl too. The space may remind us of a park, or an open area with grass. The sensation of light brings the scene closer to reality. However, the central figure is illuminated by a strange light, and the background behind it is much more abstract. And her closed eyes contribute to the intuition that she has been immersed in a mental space. However, the three share the carpet under their feet and perhaps more. The central figure may be the girl who remembers the pleasure of the game. Or simply a portrait of the emotions that the game arouses
