ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I started with the idea of an elephant it was a feeling about the relationship with my mother and my children. I struggled through many paintings and then this one emerged. The painting takes me on a journey and it is not always comfortable. I feel my unconscious talks to me through my drawings and paintings and I don't always understand until years later. The tree represents my three children.
