Portrait of Emiliano Zapata, the famous Mexican revolutionary "It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.” I have always been inspired by figures from the Mexican revolution, especially the ones closest to the masses and the original ideals of the revolution like Zapata. The style is "verismo" an impressionist realism.
