Painting mostly with oils and palette knife, she masterfully captures perspective in her pieces. She refers to the three dimensional oil impastos figures as “walkers”, describing them as travelers of the world and dreamers of life in search of unity and freedom. In search of Joy and peace. Conveying a sense of human vulnerability and a truthful hope. The shadows of her WALKERS describe constant movement, unstoppable, always towards the soul of human existence. Herrera is an experienced artist with works in private collections worldwide, has shown her work in important Museums in Mexico, and has received several awards. Herrera is a member of several Arts Organizations and serves in the Board of Directors of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco. And has her studio North Texas USA.
