Endometriosis is an overlooked, debilitating and frightening disease that infiltrates the female anatomy as well as other parts through out the body. What was once a fertile and lively garden within my womb has been taken over by tissue that has choked out my colon, my fallopian tubes, and has created scar tissue that can keep me in bed for days on end. If I don't self medicate or engage in stressful activity, the pain flares with very little relief. The rich garden of flowers has been taken over by an invasive white form, leaving the viewer thinking, what the hell is that? And that is what most of us that have endometriosis spend time wondering while it can take up to a decade to finally get diagnosed and treatment.
