My parents named me Megan after the name's meaning "small and wise" they upheld the great expectation of me to be exactly that, and noticed an artistic talent from the young age of 5. My parents believed in me, my art, and in my capabilities that I would be an artist one day. I'm the classic "left-handed" artist, with 2 daughters and a supportive partner that inspire me and continuously motivate me with how much they believe in me. With my army of loved ones behind me, I have continued to grow in my own unique style after years of practice. I attended Visual Art Class at Die Hoërskool Wonderboom, thereafter I focused on my specific skills, of which I envisioned as my own style of art that represents 3 things: my inner sight, outer sight, and my core. Even though I attended art class, the majority of what I know and do is self-taught. I believe as human beings, that even though we might be staring at the same objects, we experience them differently by emotion, sight, mindset and being. If sight can be so vastly different in magnitude, what about touch? That is why I love to incorporate and work with different mediums, so as to capture my creativity and ideas as I see them, about the world around me.
