ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the Alvin Ailey Dancers and music by Nina Simone, "Etienne" is the first of a series of dancers by Black Southern artist Andie Hayes. Typically an abstract artist, Andie loves creating art that brings joy to people. Her work centers on the premise that art, no matter what its subject matter, can bring happiness and should make you feel something. Andie's hope is that her work makes you feel a sense of delight and that maybe it will transport you to a new world.
