ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is a painting based on Ezekiel 1-10 in the bible. It is my second painting of this vision, I believe it to be true. I call this painting "Ezekiel's Vision II" This is a mixed media painting on Arches Paper, mounted on museum quality Stratmore board, unframed 11 X 14. This is a one of a kind original artwork depicting Ezekiel's vision of God. It is accurate in nature, but I have added the Seraphim Angels for I believe these angels to be always at Gods throne, protecting his holy name, from all who speak with God. I also find it very challenging painting these angels, with so many wings! Mixed media painting Watercolor, Oil, Ink, I believe the four faces symbolize the following: Man- Wisdom, most like God, Eagle - Vision, Ox -Strength, Lion - Ferocity, Gods Kinship with The king of animals. The story of Ezekiel's vision can be found hear. Ezekiel's Vision II Who inspires the work? God What do you hope viewers will feel/think -. Fascination, Faith, Inspiration, Comfort. Why medium, to convey the cosmic beauty of the heavens you need every possible color, and medium. Relationship with Christ.

My art is a reflection of things that inspire me, and bring joy to everyday life faith, nature, abstract, portraits. My style is Expressionism, Modern, and figurative. I enjoy painting wildlife, fish, underwater scenes, faith paintings, and angels. When I paint angels I get a sense of peace and serenity. The underwater scenes are inspired by 30 years of scuba. I also paint wildlife for I am out in the Colorado mountains quite often. My other works can be found at my website he mediums that I use are Oil, Watercolor, Encaustic, and Pen & Ink. The Mixed Media paintings incorporate things from nature such as petrified wood, lapis, sea shells and other stones. I retain all reproduction rights on images, artwork, and original paintings. You can find some of my paintings on display at the Brighton, Co. "Color of Love" art display at Brighton City Hall Sept -Jan.2020. The Littleton Fine Arts Museum Nov-Dec. 2019, 2020. Artist Statement: Those who speak in spiritual terms routinely refer to God as creator but seldom see ‘creator’ as the literal term for ‘artist’. I am suggesting you take the term ‘creator’ quite literally. You are seeking to forge a creative alliance, artist-to-artist, with the Great Creator God. Personal Statement: I believe we are all stewards of our planet; each individual should do whatever they can to preserve our wildlife, ocean, forests and air. Stand up for your beliefs, and focus on the positive things in life. Life is short, use your time wisely. Love, Laugh, make new friends, and enjoy Art!
