About The Artwork

I made this painting based off a tiny blurry image in the background from a freeze frame of some random romantic comedy I was watching with my girlfriend years ago. No memory of what movie it was. That’s how my brain works, I saw that little portion of the picture and the color/layout spoke to me. This canvas is unstretched so there are a couple options. You can pay to have it stretched but will lose a couple inches on the outside border. Or you can do what one client has done with several pieces and stretch a different, larger canvas, paint it a corresponding color (I would suggest orange or sky blue), and then use an archival adhesive to secure this painting to the other canvas. Or I have an engineer that invented a very simple system to hang the pieces without stretching them on a frame but still pulls the canvas tight appearing as though it is stretched, this service costs extra.

Main goal: I’m just trying to make dope art. 2nd goal: And hopefully one day make a living off it. Ive always been artistic. I just didn’t know you could be an artist as a job. I always liked to draw. My school papers had more drawings, sketches and scribbles than correct answers. I started writing poems/songs around 13/14ish. I tried writing novels and comics with my brother Ryan in junior high. Beginning of 10th grade I began taking a 3 hour Drafting & Design extra-curriculum class 5 days a week until I graduated high school, realizing although I love, appreciate and have a passion for architecture - it’s not a career for me. The summer of 2001 is really where it all culminated - a friend showed me his graffiti, how to make stencils, etc. I made my first stencil and used a can a spray paint on a few utility boxes, and haven’t put it down since. self-taught. outsider. painter. writer. singer. director. editor. email me for inquiries about the rest of my portfolio. or prices. thescenerymediacentre@gmail.com
