My painting life began in Scotland when a friend and artist walking her dog on the little fishing harbor passed me on a seaside bench drawing birds, boats and scenes with pencil in my sketch book. She invited me to a two day class taught by David Grey, artist from Ireland. I was hooked after the first oil painting. I'd had 38 years designing sets for theatre and teaching students how to paint scenery. Now I explore new techniques and styles, and love the emotional connection created by deep and vivid color. My art is hanging in Scotland, England, and the United States. I am represented by, and display in Art And Soul Gallery in Ashland, Oregon. I also belong to the co-op Art Du Jour Gallery in Medford.
