An investigation of life's seeming intricacies, rendered on large-scale canvases with layers of paint, to stimulate the impression of a song being performed on canvas. A song you might compose when you feel fortunate to be walking on a puddle-filled path or holding the hand of your loved one. These are portraits of landscapes where I've walked, lived, and loved. They are intended to draw you in, to entice you to stare for a while, caught up in the complexities, until you become aware of your heartbeat and breath, and are gradually guided to a sense of spaciousness, a sensation that everything is fine right now. My immersive travels have taken me to almost twenty countries. Art is my bridge to connecting with people, a way of sharing my enthusiasm for being able to be a part of this contemporary landscape. Influenced by materials, colors, and the environment around me, I am constantly experimenting, and sharing with the communities I encounter. I then bundle up these stories of experiences, and paintings and drawings and return to America to share anew. Love heals and flowers are courageous. I welcome the heart image as a way to reference my methodology, and as such, the hearts and flowers take a prominent place in my paintings. Currently, I am living in Egypt at the edge of the Red Sea, near Moses Mountain. Thank you for joining a part of my journey.
