ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Oil on Linen Influenced by street fashion, this painting references the psychology that fashion plays in womens lives. Fashion as a means to confidence, to make a statement, or to disguise perceived flaws? Having no physical portraits shown in the painting allows the fashion of the women to become the focal point, and the observer to decided whether they are friends or sisters. Or are we just simply observing the women and admiring their sense of style? This painting was highly commended at the Hunters Hill art prize 2019 and a finalist in the Cornerstone Gallery in the mini series art prize. Edges have been neatly painted in off white, painting is ready to hang with wire and D-rings.
