ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is Lafayette Street, just north of East Houston, in Noho. giant billboards dominate the scene, seen from the front and back. Reds are repeated in the billboard facing front (an adaptation of a Prada ad), the Bank of America (both outside and through the window), the neon sign on the left, flowers in the center, and as reflections in the car in the foreground. The sky blue is repeated in the man’s shirt and the store on the left.
