Thelma van Rensburg was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1969 and obtained het Btech Fine Arts degree from tshwane University of Technology in 2007. Since completing her degree she participated in four Solo exhibitions and numerous gruop exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Since starting her art career she has consistently focused on the female form and feminist investigations on the feminine as Other.
