ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece depicts a view from an old house of mine. It was one of the first images that I started in plein air. It also represented the beginning of a series of landscape-based works that incorporated both heavy drawing and sculptural additions. I hope that the viewers is both grounded and lifted simultaneously. One is suppose to "float" into nature while at the same time, marvel in its mystery.
