I am a painter from Minnesota and grew up in Wisconsin. I studied painting at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I have shown extensively in the midwest and recently have a body of commissioned work in the Children's Hospitals of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. I enjoy working from life, but I have also worked from digital images. My influences include the European masters from Giotto to Matisse and Bonnard. With my paintings I've tried to capture the experience of seeing and feeling.
