About The Artwork

First Light.. is a seascape painting done in acrylic colour. The sun when rises in the horizon gives a brilliant red and golden glow to the surroundings. And when reflected in the sea water... the glow enhances! With the silhouette of a sail boat and its reflection in the sea, the picture becomes more enchanting. I have tried to capture the beauty and wonder of nature and glowing sun in this painting! The horizon and the sea always inspires me. This is a painting on stretched canvas. I always use good quality paints and canvas.

A natural artist, her journey started with sketches and drawings in her exercise copies, which later converted to paper, canvas, glass and murals. Her art is not confined to any particular overriding theme or colour, but explores the ecstasy of blue sky, scudding clouds and the warm embrace of a pining lover! Her black and white illustrations in the international award winning book "Daggers of Treason", has been much appreciated for its intricate and fine detailing, and she is now working on the sequel for a Hollywood adaptation.
