Flame of the Forest is an acrylic painting on unstretched canvas. I painted this landscape in a vertical, portrait style. Fascinated by the fall colours of leaves and always wanted to paint the maple leaves, I conceptualised this forest painting, dominated by the rich red colour of the leaves. Fall is a beautiful time with nature at it's colourful best. Putting the colourful nature on canvas gives me immense pleasure. I use good quality paints and canvas. Hope to bring happiness with my paintings.

Though she has had no formal training in painting or art, she excels as a self taught intuitive painter painting in watercolours, acrylic, oil, softpastels on canvas and paper. A natural artist, her journey started with sketches and drawings in her exercise copies, which later converted to paper, canvas, glass and murals. Her art is not confined to any particular overriding theme or colour, but explores the ecstasy of blue sky, scudding clouds and the warm embrace of a pining lover! Her black and white illustrations in the international award winning book "Daggers of Treason", has been much appreciated for its intricate and fine detailing, and she is now working on the sequel for a Hollywood adaptation.
