ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an original artwork titled ‘Floral Jam' , an abstract impressionist floral painting. This was an intuitive work, started this painting with not much of plan or design in my mind, just went with the flow creating this floral jam. This is painted by me on stretched canvas and is signed at the bottom and back. The edges of it are painted and can be hung as-is (wired at the back) or you may choose to get it framed at your local framing shop. This is a perfect wall art for your living room, bedroom, corridors, office or any other room for that matter. This even makes a great gift for a loved one – unique and original. All my paintings are 100% handmade and I work with high quality art materials. I believe an artwork becomes a part of your life, lasting a lifetime. Medium -Acrylic paint on canvas, protected by 2 coats of varnish. The colors you see on the screen could slightly vary from the real colors of my paintings since every monitor displays colors differently. On request – I can paint this subject in other sizes. Please contact me for the same. But do note that since this is a handmade product, it will vary in brush / knife strokes and some color shades, though it will look nearly the same.

I am a self-taught artist based in Houston, United States. Prior to Houston, I resided in India, where I was born and brought up. My painting style includes a bright palette, impressionistic approach with textures that one can touch and feel, covering a variety of subjects. My art philosophy can be summarized as "Different days, different moods, different paintings". My source of inspiration is varied, sometimes it's the hues in the sky, sometimes it's the blooming curbside gardens and sometimes it's the colors on the cushion cover, anything that catches my fancy. The eyes always end up seeing a prospective painting in everything. While I have been creatively inclined since a very young age, it was only in 2019 that a lady from Australia stumbled upon a painting of mine on Instagram (art_sohinighoshal) and was interested to purchase it. That was also a time that I was on a professional sabbatical, after working in the corporate world for about 6 years. This serendipitous incident gave birth to a wish - a wish to keep creating art and have my own art shop. Finally after a long wait owing to my relocation from India to USA, I finally started painting professionally at the end of 2019. I have sold a few paintings outside of Saatchi that are now at their various homes in India, US and Australia.
