I am a fine artist currently living and working in London, originally from Russia. Since I was a little girl I have always loved painting, colouring and drawing. I have been continued creating art throughout all my childhood and enjoying the process of discovery and exploration. I studied in Art School and later Art College in Moscow where I have learned the old school methods of painting and drawing and have been graduated as a Graphic Designer. I continued to paint and draw and have been taken a part of Moscow Art Show and Exhibitions, but mostly had been occupied working in an advertising industry as a commercial Illustrator and Designer. I moved to London in 2001 and since then have been busy with family commitments and later working as an Art Teacher. In the beginning 2015, I made a decision to follow my dream and took the chance to return to Fine Art and become a full-time artist. The favourite subjects of my artwork are seascapes, landscapes, florals and colour and shapes inspired abstracts. My artwork is a result of an intuitive process which is driven by feelings and emotions, they are not specific to any place or time. Although I feel inspired by the beauty of the nature surrounding me, I create scenes from my own imagination as well as, more recently, abstract works. I enjoy capturing the essence of the moment and telling a story of a diversity of the colours, lines and pattern that eye not always able to see in everyday life. I am fascinated by the colour, light, patterns and variety found in nature. The sources of my inspiration apart from nature are photography, patterns, fashion and contemporary art. My paintings and drawings are often inspired by the hidden secrets of organic forms of nature: their structures, fractures, flows, textures, colours; circles of the seasons and life and their fascinating unpredictable combinations and connections to each other. Sometimes I feel my artwork can be connected to each other to the endless timeline with a subtle transition from one series to another. I mostly work in acrylic, watercolour and oils. I like experimenting with techniques, medium, playing and exploring the fluidity of watercolour, the versatility of acrylics and the deep richness of oils.
