My work is, and always has been, firmly based in the natural world. Here I find my inspiration, whether it be by flying above the landscape, walking through the desert, or watching a bird's nest in Spring. I work in both oil and acrylic on canvas and many of my walks through the landscape are expressed in oilstick on French handmade papers. In Australia I have been constantly focused on desert landscapes, in particular from an aerial perspective. Now living in Spain my palette and focus has, for the moment, shifted to the mountains and the aerial view of the inevitable man-made landscape of the Spanish countryside and NATURE in general. The animal life is different here, in particular with so many birds of prey, vultures, eagles, hawks and kites. Deer and wild boar are also prevalent, while the landscape can be so desert like yet at times as green as Ireland.
