Victoria Borisova (Nikaveron) was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. She moved to New York, USA in 2009 to pursue her career in the Arts. Victoria is working in various styles and mediums. In 2012 while focusing on painting and art history at LaGuardia college, she got a Fantasy Fountain Fund Fellowship for a semester at the Modern Art Foundry, a historic foundry in Astoria, NY. The fellowship was an amazing opportunity for her to learn the lost wax bronze sculpting process from the beginning to the end, but most importantly broaden her horizons opening the world of three-dimensional artwork. After graduating, her newly acquired interest in sculpture brought her to the National Academy School of Fine Arts where she was focusing on human figure anatomy through drawing and sculpture, while experimenting with new techniques and materials, as well as studying the insides of the art business and begun her curatorial work. Deep interest in the business side of the art world, rooted in her background in economics, led her to taking art business classes at NYU, and later working as a special projects curator and coordinator at a contemporary art gallery JanKossen Contemporary in Chelsea, New York, as well as in international non-profit art organization ArtePonte. She holds Masters degree in Economics from Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Certificate in Fine Arts from the National Academy School of Fine Arts, NY, Associates Degree in Fine Arts from LaGuardia College, New York. Her works are in private and public collections in New York, USA. Besides focusing on her own art projects and a new body of work, she is an independent art curator, organizing exhibitions with up and coming artists from all over the world. She is based in New York City.
