Flower Still Life 2.1 Print

Plastic packaging is an indispensable part of our society. All plastic is a threat to the environment. It is difficult not to use plastic. We are used to plastic in our daily lives, even when we see it in nature. It seems to be becoming part of our environment. We build parks and public gardens and at the same time we accept empty packaging and other plastic waste lying around as a normal image, part of that landscaped nature. In my work I explore that boundary, what do we accept as a normal image, how important or logical do we find plastic waste in our society? How can you revalue plastic waste? When is plastic waste an added value and how do you achieve it? From collected plastic waste I make flower/plant-like shapes. These forms put together like compositions in flower still life. I use this composition as the subject of my painting.
